D-backs complete sweep in double-header

The Diamondbacks and Marlins played their second game of a double-header Wednesday in Arizona where the d-backs were able to win a second straight game. The d-backs improve to 64-61 with the win and are probably hoping they could play the Marlins everyday. The team blanked the Marlins 3-0 in game 2 of the double-header with a very strong pitching performance. The double-header was missing offense from both teams, but Miami in particular.

Arizona continues late-season push

The Diamondbacks won 3-2 in Arizona on Wednesday against the Miami Marlins. The two teams will both likely miss the playoffs and have been up and down most the season. The Diamondbacks were able to get a fresh start from a pitching prospect that got off on the right foot. Skaggs debuted for the D-backs and looked good besides a 2-run inning that he gave up in the top of the second. The Diamondbacks got just enough offense in the end while Skaggs settled in to earn his first win in Arizona.
