Suns lose to Warriors

The Suns lost 96-102 Monday against a Golden State Warrior club that was led by David Lee. Lee and the Warriors fell behind early, but battled back to get the victory. The loss moves the Suns record to 12-16 this season while dropping their road record to 7-9. The Suns are have been just a shadow of their former selves this season and are showing that their glory years are done for now as they are rebuilding. That being said, they are at least playing competitive basketball.

 

The Suns were led by Marcin Gortat who scored 25 in the game and added 12 rebounds to record a double-double. Steve Nash also led the team in assists with 14. The Suns started off hot by outscoring the Warriors 27-20 in the first quarter. After that, however, they were outscored 82-69 the remainder of the game. They now find themselves in fourth place in the division as they are a game back of the warriors.

The Warriors were led by David Lee who also recorded a double-double. Lee had 28 points to lead all scorers and added 12 rebounds. Stephen Curry added 5 assists to lead the team as the Warriors improved to 11-14 on the season. The win also evened their home record to 8-8 on the year. The Warriors scored an impressive 33 points in the third quarter alone. They find themselves 5.5 games back of the Clippers in 3rd place in the division.
