Suns Fall to Spurs at Home

The Suns lost 107-100 on Tuesday against the Spurs at home. The team is now back at even with a 25-25 record. They fall to 15-11 in home games this season as well. The Suns shot well and hung with the Spurs all day, but fell apart when it mattered most in the final quarter. The team went into that quarter down one and ended up losing by 7 to the string Spurs team. The Suns have shown lately that they will hang with anyone, but must close games to make things really count.

Brown led the way for the Suns as he scored 32 points in the contest. This also led all scorers in the contest. Gortat led in rebounds for the Suns with 14 while Nash added 8 assists to help the team try and get a win as well. In the end, it was all not enough as the Suns crumpled in the fourth quarter. There, the Suns were outscored 23-17, which really cost them the game. Prior to that they hung with the Spurs all game and the score was 84-83 going into the fourth.

Duncan who owned two major statistical categories for the team led the Spurs. Duncan led in points with 26 and rebounds with 11. Parker added 7 assists to help contribute to the win as well. The team is now 34-14 on the season and improved their away record to 14-10. They look very poised to head into the playoffs and have the veteran leadership teams look for to get deep into the playoffs.
